 | Clifton A. Conley, a native of Detroit, Michigan, is the son of Mrs. Mary Turner and Mr. Corzell Smith, and the grandson of the late Leroy Conley and Louise Conley. He was converted in 1974 and became a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Detroit, Michigan under the leadership of the late Reverend Dr. Odell Jones. He received his diploma from Pershing High School in Detroit, Michigan. Conley continued his education by way of Little Rock, Arkansas, where he received his B.A. in Secondary Education from Arkansas Baptist College. Conley then proceeded to Richmond, Virginia where he received his Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from Virginia Union University School of Theology and is presently enrolled in the Doctor of Ministry Program at the Ecumenical Theological Seminary in Detroit, Michigan. Conley received the Macedonia call to serve as the second Pastor of the Mount Sinai Baptist Church, Little Rock, Arkansas, Friday, July 10, 1987. In addition to his pastorate at Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church he serves as an instructor in the Union District Congress; the Arkansas State Baptist Congress of Christian Education; and instructor in the Department of Religious Studies at Arkansas Baptist College. He also serves as secretary for the E. C. Morris Minister’s Institute of Arkansas Baptist College and the board of Directors of the E. C. Morris Institute, Arkansas Baptist College. Also, his hobbies include basketball, jogging, reading and watching spectator sports.  He married the former Marilyn E. Moore, November 27, 1999, who is currently the Principal at Oakbrooke Elementary School. They are the blessed and thankful parents of Nicholas, a junior at University of Central Arkansas in Conway Arkansas and Bernice La Shante’ La Nae’, who is a ten year old fifth grader at Oakbrooke Elementary school.
